Notre historique
My passion for animals started very early. She must have been hereditary-- (see photo with my first bitch called Papagena)-- My mother was as crazy about animals as I was, and she did not just give us the love of animals, but especially the respect for all life, as the famous Dr. Albert Schweitzer taught in Lambarene at the time.
My mom taught us to save, such as wasps or bees that had fallen into the water, and not to tear or crush flowers or other plants unnecessarily.
She explained to us that the mice and spiders in the house, or the slugs in the garden, did not deserve death because they bothered us, they could do nothing about it, but had to be dislodged carefully, without hurting them.
This attitude pleased me, of course, a lot, so, throughout my childhood, my mother and I filled our house and our garden with animals to cure or abandoned, of all kinds, from the mouse to the horse, sometimes to the despair of my dad. Yet it was thanks to his understanding, support and funding that I had the chance to make my passion my job.
After my first version of provisional kennel, (photo opposite), that my father installed me, so that I prove to him that my choice was not only dream of adolescence, - he made me build, in 1962, the current kennel.
So many years have passed since the day my dream came true. Never, for a moment, I regretted my choice. I am still as excited as the first day. Unfortunately, our parents left us a long time. I will always be grateful for their understanding and support.
Over the years, of course, things have grown. The cattery is much more recent than the kennel and the breeding. We built it in 1997, following repeated requests from many customers who had dogs and cats and would have liked to leave them on vacation with us. Now it's possible, and everyone is happy!
Tous nos grands et petits protégés jouissent d’un maximum de liberté dans les diverses zones et bâtiments du vaste terrain. Ce domaine tout entier est une terre d’asile sûre pour tout ce qui grouille dans l’air, sur terre et dans l’eau ! Aucun produit toxique n’est utilisé, ni contre les souris ou les limaces, ni pour traiter les fruits ou les légumes. Tous les habitants ou visiteurs de notre petite communauté partagent ou acceptent, cette philosophie du respect de la vie.
Like my brother and I, my son and daughter had the chance to grow up in the countryside among all these animals. My 2 grandsons Dylan and Miguel, too, have been happy during their childhood to spend week-ends and holidays with us.
